Why source-water testing matters: Two properties 500 metres apart in Lahore can have significantly different bore water TDS, hardness and contamination. Correct capacity, membrane selection and pretreatment all depend on what the test reveals. Aqua Prima conducts water analysis before every installation recommendation — not after.
RO Services Offered by Aqua Prima
RO Systems by Capacity (LPH)
Capacity selection depends on daily usage, recovery rate, reject-water volume, operational hours and source-water TDS. Undersizing causes operational shortfall; oversizing wastes energy and increases maintenance cost.

Serving Lahore & Surrounding Areas
Aqua Prima is based in Ichhra, Lahore and has direct experience with local bore water conditions. Common challenges across Ichhra, Shama, Samanabad, Rehmanpura and nearby areas include elevated TDS (often 800–2000+ ppm), high hardness and in some zones traces of iron. These characteristics determine pretreatment design and membrane selection.
Areas served include: Ferozepur Road corridor, Ichhra Bazaar, Shama Chowk, Baba Azam Chowk, Hamza Hospital area, FMH College zone, Muslim Town, Garden Town, Gulberg, Model Town and adjacent localities across Lahore.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a reverse osmosis plant and how does it work?
A reverse osmosis plant forces water through a semi-permeable membrane under pressure. The membrane rejects dissolved salts, heavy metals, bacteria and other contaminants, allowing only water molecules to pass. The purified output is permeate; concentrated contaminants leave as reject water. Recovery rate — the percentage of feed water that becomes permeate — depends on source TDS, temperature, pressure and membrane condition.
Do I need a water test before installing an RO plant?
Yes. Source-water quality determines whether RO is the correct treatment, what pretreatment is needed, which membrane is suitable and what capacity will deliver the required output. Installing without a water test is the most common reason RO systems underperform or membrane life is shortened prematurely.
What does 2000 LPH mean?
LPH stands for Litres Per Hour. A 2000 LPH RO plant produces approximately 2,000 litres of purified water per hour under rated conditions. Running 20 hours per day, this yields approximately 40,000 litres of permeate daily — suitable for large commercial operations, water businesses or factories. See the
2000 LPH page for full details.
How often does an RO membrane need replacement?
With proper pretreatment and maintenance, RO membranes in Pakistani bore water conditions typically last 2–4 years. High TDS, iron-rich or scaling water without adequate pretreatment significantly shortens membrane life. Monitoring permeate TDS regularly provides early warning when replacement is approaching.
Does bore water in Lahore need RO treatment?
It depends on the bore water test. Lahore bore water TDS typically ranges from 600–2500 ppm depending on area and depth. Where TDS, hardness or contamination exceeds acceptable limits, RO is a common and effective treatment approach. The water must be tested first to determine the correct pretreatment and system design. Aqua Prima conducts source-water analysis before any recommendation.
Can Aqua Prima service an RO system installed by someone else?
Yes. Aqua Prima provides repair and maintenance services for RO systems regardless of the original installer.
