An RO plant is not a one-time installation. Filters, membranes and pumps all require scheduled attention. Aqua Prima provides maintenance services and replacement parts — not just installation.
| Component | Recommended Interval | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Sediment prefilter | Every 3–6 months (high sediment) / 6–12 months | Prevents membrane clogging and pressure drop |
| Carbon prefilter | Every 6–12 months | Protects membrane from chlorine damage |
| RO membrane | 2–4 years depending on water quality and usage | Core purification element; rising TDS signals replacement |
| Post carbon filter | Every 6–12 months | Final taste and odour polishing |
| UV lamp (if fitted) | Every 12 months | UV output degrades even when lamp appears lit |
| Pump inspection | Annually for commercial systems | Detects wear before pump failure |
| TDS output check | Monthly (home) / Weekly (commercial) | Early warning of membrane or filter performance decline |
| Storage tank sanitisation | Every 12 months | Prevents bacterial growth in stored permeate |
| System Type | Approx. Annual Maintenance Cost (PKR) | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic RO (PKR 30k–80k installation) | 3,000 – 10,000 | Filter replacement + inspection |
| 500 LPH commercial | 25,000 – 60,000 | Filters + pump inspection + checks |
| 1000 LPH commercial | 40,000 – 100,000 | Filters + pump + TDS monitoring |
| 2000 LPH commercial | 60,000 – 150,000+ | Full service + membrane assessment |
Annual cost is typically 5–10% of installation cost. High source-water sediment or TDS increases filter consumption and therefore maintenance frequency.
Aqua Prima can service and maintain RO systems installed by other providers. If you cannot get service from the original installer or are unsure of your system’s current condition, contact us for an inspection and maintenance assessment.
