RO Plant Repair & Troubleshooting
RO system underperforming? Aqua Prima diagnoses and repairs residential and commercial RO plants across Lahore. Low output, high TDS, leaks, pump failure and membrane problems all diagnosed systematically.
Do not ignore rising TDS in your RO output. A gradual increase in permeate TDS is the most common early indicator of membrane degradation or prefilter failure. Addressing it early extends membrane life and avoids a full system failure.
Common RO Plant Problems & Causes
| Problem |

Our Repair Process
- System Diagnosis TDS measurement, pressure testing, flow rate check, visual inspection
- Fault Identification Isolating the specific component or condition causing the problem
- Repair Quotation Itemised breakdown of parts and labour before proceeding
- Repair Execution Filter/membrane replacement, pump repair, seal replacement as required
- Post-Repair Testing Permeate TDS, recovery rate and flow rate verification
- Maintenance Recommendation Guidance to prevent recurrence
Repair vs. Full Replacement
| Consider Repair When |
Consider Replacement When |
| Issue confined to filters or seals |
Membrane severely degraded + system 5+ years old |
| Single component failure |
Pump requires major overhaul + multiple parts failing |
| System is less than 3 years old |
Repair cost exceeds 50% of new system cost |
| Pretreatment was adequate |
Repeated failures despite correct maintenance |
FAQs
Why is my RO water TDS suddenly high?
A sudden rise in permeate TDS typically indicates membrane damage, an O-ring or seal failure allowing feed water to bypass the membrane, or an exhausted carbon post-filter. A systematic pressure and TDS test across each stage usually identifies the failure point quickly.
Can an RO membrane be cleaned rather than replaced?
Yes, in some cases. Chemical cleaning can restore partial membrane performance when fouling is the primary cause of decline. However, if the membrane is physically degraded or permeate TDS has risen substantially, cleaning will not fully restore performance and replacement is required. Aqua Prima assesses the membrane condition before recommending cleaning vs replacement.
Do you repair systems installed by other companies?
Yes. Aqua Prima services and repairs RO systems regardless of the original installer. Contact us with details of your system and the problem you are experiencing.
